Fresh work in a variety of media by Kala’s community of artists!

More than one hundred artists affiliated with Kala Art Institute of Berkeley will be exhibiting their work at the Kala Gallery from December 9, 2010 through February 19, 2011. The exhibition will present a diverse array of prints, photography, paintings, drawings, video, digital media works and mixed media combinations. A reception will be held on Thursday, December 9 from 6:00-8:00 pm with a special wine tasting provided by Urban Legend Cellars. The Kala Artists’ Annual exhibition is generously supported with a grant from the Zellerbach Family Foundation.

On Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th, there will be Holiday Open Studios at Kala Gallery from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm on both days.  Nearly twenty artists associated with Kala will be presenting a wide variety of works for sale. The Open House is a great opportunity to see more work by our artists and pick up fantastic and original holiday gifts. This year Kala is teaming up with the Berkeley Artisans Holiday Open Studios, so pick up a map at the gallery and visit other studios in the area.

Tours of the Kala studio, gallery and print and media study center are also available by appointment.
