Kalassal – Kala’s Annual Half-Off Art Sale | Fall Fundraiser

This year, for the first time ever, (wonder of all wonders!), KALASSAL and the Artists’ Annual Exhibition will converge to open on the exact same night! We’re gearing up for a whopping good party in the gallery and expecting a big turn out. The sale continues Friday and Saturday with extended evening hours. Like last year, we will have a free Family Art Making Day on Saturday, studio tours, and much, much more.

Karla Artists' Annual Exhibition

Artists affiliated with Kala Art Institute will be exhibiting their work at the Kala Gallery from October 23 through December 13, 2014. The exhibition reflects the diverse Kala community with a juried exhibition of prints, photographs, paintings, drawings, videos, mixed media works, and sculpture.

On View: New Works from Kala

Curated by Kala's staff members Mayumi Hamanaka and Yuzo Nakano, this continuous exhibition series features works on paper by artists affiliated with our studios. This group exhibition is presented throughout Kala's new gallery facility and changes every three-four months.

Berkeley Central Arts Passage

2055 Center Street, Berkeley, CA

Berkeley Central has partnered with Kala beginning this year, to present curated group exhibitions in this street-level passageway located in downtown Berkeley. The passageway, with works displayed in glass vitrines, was recently listed as one of the top new art venues in the East Bay.

Milvia/Addison Windows

In the street-level windows at the intersection of Milvia and Addison Streets in downtown Berkeley, Kala presents a recurring and innovatively displayed exhibition of new works by Kala affiliated artists.
