Born in Sarajevo, ENDI POSKOVIC is both a Bosnian citizen and permanent U.S. resident. Poskovic earned his MFA at SUNY-Buffalo in 1993. Concerned with themes of memory, displacement, migration and alienation, Poskovic’s bold, intricate woodblock prints combine words and images. His work has garnered numerous awards, fellowships and artist residencies, as well as an impressive number of international exhibitions. On a recent sabbatical from his teaching post as a Professor of Art at Whittier College in Southern California, Poskovic completed an artist residency at the Bemis Center in Omaha. This past fall, Poskovic’s work was presented in a solo exhibition at Tin Horn Press in San Francisco.
