Based in London, Richard T. Walker has having temporarily relocated to the Bay Area in conjunction with his Fellowship. Richard is known as a video artist who combines performance with scripted text and original musical composition. The video pieces explore ironic parallels between interpersonal relationships and the individual’s relationship to nature. Historic interpretations of nature are addressed through Richard’s stunningly beautiful landscape scenes combined with a voice-over track that highlights the disparity between the ideal and the actual. Richard received his MFA degree from Goldsmith’s College in London. His work has been presented in numerous exhibitions, screenings and performances throughout England, Germany, Spain and Japan. Additionally, Richard has been a lecturer at Staffordshire University for the past several years.
