For those who have studied both relief print processes - Linocut and Woodcut – with Mr. Montoya, he says, “Get ready for something new!” This 4 – session workshop will give you the opportunity to combine the beauty of the grainfrom a woodblock with the detail achievable on the linoblock. Group lecture and demonstration will accompany one-on-one instruction.
Emmanuel Montoya, a master printer with the wood and linoleum block, has been teaching for over 25 years. He has been practicing his craft in the Bay Area as an artist for over 35 years. The tradition of contemporary Latin American and Mexican printmakers are his inspiration and one of his influences.
