This course will guide students through the process of creating their own hand bound journals, using the long stitch. Students will learn the basics of binding and will emerge from the course with their own hand bound journal as well as the knowledge to create them in the future. No experience necessary.
Anne Albagli’s work has been exhibited internationally, including exhibitions in Italy, Israel, Germany, and domestically in Washington DC, New York, Dallas, and Boston. She has organized and executed public projects and murals in the Middle East including The Paradise Project, in which she worked with diverse populations suffering from PTSD. In August, Anne was commissioned by CNN to create a tribute piece commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11. She recently finished her tenure as a teaching artist in residence at Pyramid Atlantic, a print studio outside of Washington DC, and is currently an Artist in Residence at the Kala Art Institute. www.anniealbagli.com
