Printing Without a Press: Gelli Plate Monotype (WAITLIST ONLY)

Gelli Plate Monotype by Liz Schiff

This hands-on workshop introduces participants to making monotypes using a Gelli plate with water-soluble block inks. The Gelli printing plate, made of a gel-like substance with a sensitive surface, invites endless experimentation and reuse. The Gelli plate is perfect for use with brayers, brushes, stencils and found flat objects. The inks easily allow for layering, lifting, drawing, and other post-printing embellishments. Prints are hand pulled without the need of a press. No previous printing experience is required to have fun with the Gelli plate!
