Kala Art Institute invites you to join us for Art | Kala 2017 an exhibition, auction and gala benefit to support Kala’s artistic, cultural, and educational programs.
Mary Austin, co-founder of San Francisco Center for the Book and Brewster Kahle, Founder and Digital Librarian of the Internet Archive – one of the largest libraries in the world, will host the auction as Honorary Chairs. Art | Kala 2017 opens with a two-week exhibition featuring inventive, contemporary art made here and now in the Bay Area. It culminates the night of Saturday, April 22 with a lively Gala Auction of all the work on view.
Art | Kala 2017 features artworks by over 100 talented artists, and unique art-related items, local treasures, and experiences offered through both live and silent auctions. We are thrilled to honor beloved Kala artists and educators, Miriam Klein Stahl & Lena Wolff and Barbara Foster & Jack Stone as the 2017 recipients of Kala Master Artists Award.
