For artists who want to use the Internet as a presentation tool for their portfolio, Dreamweaver is the perfect tool. The Internet allows you to expand your potential audience with minimal labor. The class covers basic instruction in Dreamweaver, the web-designing program. By the end of the class, you will have posted your own website on the Internet, in which you present images of your work, your resume, and related information. Bring to class images of your work in any format (digital formats preferred), your resume and related art career information, and addresses of some of your favorite websites. Come prepared to pay for registration of a domain name (approx. $20), and monthly cost to a service provider (approx. $10). Experience in web design is not necessary, but some knowledge of the Mac OS X interface, Photoshop and Microsoft Word is required.
