This advanced monotype class explores using the screen as a medium for combining painterly and photographic digital techniques. During this two-day class, students will learn how to approach the screen as a tool for creating monotypes. Methods to be explored include using photographic emulsion, reductive printing, tonal approaches, collage, water-soluble media and any other material you would want to try. Come explore, create and make prints that are each unique and experimental. Enrollment is limited to 5 students.
Jennifer Blazina received her MFA in printmaking from
Cranbrook Academy of Art and her BFA from SUNY Purchase. She is a currently
a Professor of Fine Arts at Drexel University, and resides and has a
studio in Philadelphia. Jen is a working artist exhibiting nationally
and internationally.
